The Tythe Barn is believed to date back to about 1750, and is a fine,
two storey stone building under a slate roof. Its walls are corner buttressed
and there is external access to the first floor via stone built steps
in addition to the internal staircase. Window and door openings have gently
arched lintols, the mellow interior brickwork of which is picked out as
a special feature throughout the building. |

The
exposed roof trusses of the first floor combine with double glazed hardwood
windows and screens, which, together with panoramic views of the surrounding
countryside, make this a stunning place in which to work. The main access
to the Tythe Barn is through a stone-built single storey barn, which also
links it to the Coach House if required. |
